OXON HILL, Md. (AP) - Prince George's County Police say a courier with an armored truck was shot during a robbery in Oxon Hill.

It happened about 1 p.m. Tuesday in the 6300 block of Livingston Road. Officers say the courier for Loomis Armored Car Service was delivering money to the Save A Lot store.

Police say the guard had just gotten out of the truck when he was confronted by three or four masked men. One shot him in the face. Witnesses say the guard ran inside the store screaming, "Call 911!"

The gunmen fled in a gray or silver four-door passenger car. They apparently grabbed a box of money, but may have dropped it before they escaped.

Police are checking surveillance tape from around the shopping center.

The courier was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
