TIMONIUM, Md. (WUSA) - Three men are wanted for an attempted kidnapping that ended in a car crash on Thursday night, according to Maryland State Police.

Police are asking the public's help in locating the three suspects now wanted in the kidnapping attempt. The victim, who was found unharmed after the incident, is unidentified at this point due to the ongoing investigation.

On October 11, just after midnight, police responded to a crash on the southbound I-83 ramp to Padonia Road in Timonium. The victim was found nearby.

The victim told the troopers he was leaving an establishment in the 10,000 block of York Road in Cockeysville earlier in the evening when he was approached by  three men described as either Hispanic or African American. The men allegedly forced their way into the victim's car, a gray 2011 Nissan Frontier, then demanded that the victim drive north on York Road.

After passing the Hunt Valley light rail crossing, the victim was told to get into the back seat. One of the suspects jumped into the driver's seat and began driving the Nissan onto I-83 heading southbound. The suspect lost control while trying to take the exit on to Padonia Road. The suspects allegedly fled the scene, and police were unable to find them after a search of the area. Crime scene technicians gathered evidential items at the scene.

Police ask anyone who may have witnessed the crash or the abduction to contact investigators at 410-780-2700.
