FAIRFAX, Va. (WUSA) -- Fairfax police say a man accused of stealing a car from a dealership was driving the car at the time of his arrest and he was also wanted for a previous car accident.
Twenty-six-year-old Bradley Charles Kilpatrick is accused of stealing a vehicle from the Fairfax Volkswagen at 11050 Fairfax Boulevard on August 16. Police say he was later spotted driving the car in Maryland and arrested.
Kilpatrick was held in Prince George's County on five outstanding warrants from City of Fairfax Police. After waiving extradition, he was transported to Fairfax on September 20 by detectives from the Criminal Investigations Division.
He has been charged with grand larceny auto and driving on a revoked operator's license for the August 16 car theft. He's also charged in connection with a car accident on August 2. In that incident he's charged with failing to report a motor vehicle accident, obstruction of justice and driving while suspended or revoked.
Kilpatrick is being held without bond.
