Police: Attempted Robbery Suspect Fell Before Fleeing

BROOKLYN PARK, Md. (WUSA) -- Anne Arundel County police are looking for an attempted robbery suspect who tried to hit the victim with his handgun but missed and fell to the ground.

Police say that the attempted robbery occurred on Thursday night in the 4100 block of Ritchie Highway in Brooklyn Park. The victim reported that he was unloading groceries form his car when a man came up to him, took out a gun and demanded money. According to the victim, the man tried to hit the victim with the handgun but missed and fell. The man then fled without any cash.

Officers tried looking for the man but were unable to find him. 

He is described only as a black male in his mid 20's, approximately 5'8" tall and 165 pounds.
