JOHNSVILLE, Md. (WUSA) - High winds flattened a barn in Frederick County that housed approximately 150 cows on Friday afternoon, according to the Frederick County Fire and Rescue.
A spokesperson says there was one person inside the barn when it collapsed, but that person escaped safely.
Of the 150 head of cattle in the barn at the time, only one cow was injured in the collapse. Fire and Rescue personnel worked to free the cows from the collapsed barn.
The Frederick County Emergency Management Coordinator were called to the scene.
No tornadoes have been reported but winds in the area had reached 60-70 mph.
