4 Arrests Made In Germantown Burglaries

GERMANTOWN, Md. (WUSA) - Police have arrested and charged four suspects in a series of burglaries in the Germantown area.

Montgomery County Police report that they have arrested
• Marcus Antonio Lee,  20, of no fixed address
• Demarco James Burke, 20, of no fixed address
• Travis Devon Forbes, 18, of the 18100 block of Copps Hill Pl., Gaithersburg
• a juvenile male,  17, from Washington D.C.

A police investigation identified Lee as a suspect. On June 15, Burke was arrested in Washington as a passenger in a vehicle stolen during one of the burglaries. The driver fled but was later confirmed to be Lee.

On June 20, at approximately 1:55 a.m., Gaithersburg City officers responded to a burglary on Hidden Field Drive in Gaithersburg. The home was burglarized, and the resident's vehicle was stolen. An hour later, officers found the stolen vehicle at the 7-Eleven store, 18701 Liberty Mill Road. Forbes and the juvenile male were arrested inside the vehicle.

Additional investigation revealed that Lee had been with Forbes and the juvenile but had fled before police arrived. Detectives knew that Lee was staying at a home in the 18400 block of Stone Hollow Drive in Germantown, and on Wednesday, at approximately 1:30 p.m., detectives located and arrested Lee.

Lee and Forbes are charged with burglary and theft-related charges to include auto theft. Both are being held on a $25,000 bond. Burke is  being held in DC jail with a detainer filed for the pending charges in Montgomery County. The juvenile male is charged with one burglary and is detained at Alfred D. Noyes Children's Center.
