Takoma Park Armed Robbery and Attempted Murder Investigated

TAKOMA PARK,  Md. (WUSA) -  A man was assaulted by a suspect using a knife on Tuesday afternoon, according to Takoma Park police.

At about 4:39 p.m., officers responded to the 6300 block of New Hampshire Avenue for an assault in progress. They discovered an adult male victim lying on the ground with stab wounds. They learned that the victim was approached by a male suspect who demanded the victim's property.

A struggle took place and the suspect assaulted the victim with a knife before fleeing into Prince George's County.

Takoma Park Police along with Prince George's County Police canvassed the area for the suspect but were unable to find him. He is described as a black male, in his 30's, approximately 5'11" with a thin athletic build, dark complexion, short dark hair, stubble facial hair, wearing blue jeans and black shoes.
