Desmond V. Proctor And 16-Year-Old Arrested For Storage Unit Thefts, Damage In Lexington Park

LEXINGTON PARK, Md. (WUSA) --  St. Mary's County authorities have arrested and charged two people for burglaries at the Patuxent Self Storage on Great Mill's Road in Lexington Park.

Desmond V. Proctor and a 16-year-old boy are accused of stealing items, including firearms and motorcycles from storage units at the location on Sunday. Authorities say on Tuesday, detectives learned items stolen from the storage units were found at a home on Sydney Drive in Lexington Park.  Several items were recovered after a search and seizure warrant was executed at the home.

Proctor and the teen were charged with second degree burglary, theft scheme $1,000 to $10,000, theft over $1,000 to under $10,000 and malicious destruction of property. 

Proctor is being held at the St. Mary's County Detention Center on a $25,000 bond. 

The teen was taken to the Cheltenham Youth Facility.
