FOREST HEIGHTS, Md. (WUSA) -- Police in Prince George's County have identified the victims at a double homicide in Forest Heights on Tuesday morning.
- Joshua Carroll, 23 years-old, of the 2900 block of Knox Road SE, Washington, DC.
- Okasha M. Hawkins, 22 years-old, of the 600 block of Modoc Lane, Forest Heights, MD.
Both were pronounced dead at the scene.
Corporal Erica Johnson, spokesperson for the Prince George's County Police Department, said officers were called to the 600 block of Modoc Lane in Forest Heights to investigate a report of the sound of gun shots around 1:50 a.m., Tuesday. Patrol officers responding to the scene found a male victim suffering from body trauma.
Johnson said the victim was pronounced dead at the scene. There is no information available on the age or identity of the victim.
However during their investigation, police said the body of a second male victim was discovered. Police department spokesperson Cpl. Evan Baxter said the both bodies were found outside of the residence at that location but there were not in the same location.
No information has been released on possible suspects or motive in the homicide.
Prince George's County Police also responded to a homicide in the 8500 block of Grandhaven Avenue around 11:20 Sunday night after receiving a report of a shooting. Once on the scene, officers found a male victim suffering from some type of trauma to the body. That victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are looking for a silver colored Mazda Protege that they say fled the scene.
