WASHINGTON, DC (WUSA) -- DC Mayor Adrian Fenty has raised more than two million dollars for his re-election campaign. That amount was collected in roughly three months, with the Mayoral election about two years away and with no declared opponent.
In an interview aired Saturday night on 9NEWS NOW, Fenty said "better to run scared or unopposed." He's told colleagues he plans to raise as much as he can.
Several DC Councilmembers, Evans, Brown and Brown said they would be doing the same. Fenty won every precinct in the last election; then the Ward Four Councilmember, he defeated then Council Chairman, Linda Cropp.
