ALEXANDRIA, Va. (AP) -- The daughter of former Washington Redskins owner Jack Kent Cooke has lost her multimillion dollar lawsuit against her father's estate.
U.S. District Judge Liam O'Grady in Alexandria on Friday dismissed the $275 million suit filed last year by 20-year-old Jacqueline Kent Cooke. She had argued that the $50,000 a year she receives from a $5 million trust is not enough to cover her expenses.
Her father was worth more than $1 billion at the time of his death in 1997.
The young woman's mother, Suzanne Martin Cooke, says that her daughter plans to appeal.
