HOLLYWOOD, Md. (WUSA9) -- Maryland State Police say a woman is being treated for injuries she sustained in a possible attempted murder-suicide in St. Mary's County.
According to police, 43-year-old Dean called 9-1-1 shortly before midnight on Thursday to report that James Daniel Dean was loading a gun after they had an argument. Police say that during the phone call noise that sounded like gun shots were heard in the background.
Police went to the scene on Johnson Road in Hollywood, Md. and forced entry into the home. They say they found James Dean on the living floor with an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. Emergency medical personnel pronounced him deceased at the scene.
Angela Dean was found nearby with apparent gunshot wounds. She was flown by State Police Medevac, Trooper 7, to the PGH Trauma Unit where she remains, according to police.
