Group of teens punched victim, stole his wallet in Anne Arundel County robbery

LOTHIAN, Md. (WUSA9) -- Anne Arundel County police say a group of teens punched a victim several times before taking his wallet during an armed robbery.

At approximately 9:33 p.m. on Sunday, police responded to a robbery in the 1200 block of Whittington Drive in Lothian.

A 22-year-old male victim who was dropping off a female acquaintance in the area of Sands Road told police that after his friend got out of the car, a masked suspect jumped into the car, punched him and the hit him with a handgun, officials said.

Police say several other suspects surrounded the car, pulled the victim out and punched him several times before taking his wallet. 

The victim returned to his car and went to a relative's home to get help, officials said.

Police say they are searching for several males in their late teens wearing masks. The investigation is ongoing.
