RICHMOND, Va. (WUSA9) -- EPPICards used at Target during the period between November 27 and December 15 have been affected, according to the Virginia Department of Social Services.
Officials say 3,986 EPPICards were affected. In a statement they said, "These cards may include child support payments and Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) benefits. Customer names, debit card numbers, card expiration dates and the three-digit security codes located on the backs of cards may be among the information compromised."
The vendor for the EPPICard program, Xerox had blocked all the affected cards on January 1. Xerox has also calling affected cardholders. Customers can call EPPICard Customer Service at 800-961-8423 for more information.
