TYSONS CORNER, Va. (WUSA9) -- Fairfax County fire crews and police are on the scene of a gas leak that is causing traffic problems in the Tysons Corner area.
At approximately noon, roads affected by the gas leak were reopened.
The gas leak was caused by a 6" main being struck accidentally by construction crews. Captain Moreland with Fairfax County Fire reports the line was struck at about 9:45 a.m.
The gas line has been turned off, but some residual traffic problems remain as a result of the roads being closed for a time.
Some crews remain on the scene to monitor conditions.
