Customers at a New York City coffee shop got a jolt recently that had nothing to do with their morning latte.
A marketing stunt promoting the upcoming horror remake "Carrie" freaked out some unsuspecting New Yorkers and the resulting video has racked up more than 3 million views on YouTube as of Tuesday morning.
A fake wall, remote-controlled tables and chairs and spring-loaded bookshelves are used to make it look as if a woman is using telekinesis after someone knocks over her coffee. Hidden cameras capture the reactions of everyone around her.
The lesson here: Don't mess with anyone with telekinetic powers (or those who haven't gotten their daily dose of caffeine).
"Carrie," starring Chloe Grace Moretz and Julianne Moore, arrives in theaters on Oct. 18.
