FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. (WUSA9) -- The jury heard grisly testimony in day two of the murder trial of Julio Blanco Garcio. He has admitted to stabbing 19-year-old Vanessa Pham to death three years ago.

Tuesday, Dr. Wayne Williams, the medical examiner who performed the autopsy on Pham's body, explained in detail the 13 stab and slice wounds he found. He told the jury that Pham died a slow death from blood loss from deep wounds to her chest and lungs and neck.

Dr. Wayne said that Pham's heart was not touched, but that she had a wound to her neck which left a gaping wound on her larynx which would have made it difficult for her breathe. She also has numerous defense wounds on her hands and legs.

During the disturbing testimony, Pham's family members put their arms around each other. Fifteen feet in front of them, Blanco Garcia kept his head down.
