The Smithsonian's National Zoo had some good news to share with us. Officials there say two Sumatran Tiger cubs were born on Monday, and appear to be health.
Their mother, Damai, is grooming and nursing them, say officials. It's Damai's first litter of cubs.
Officials tell us that keepers are remotely monitoring Damai as she bonds with her cubs. The cubs will complete health exams before going on exhibit with their mother. Their father, Kavi, will be on exhibit as usual, say officials.
You can see the cubs the next several weeks via live webcams on the Zoo's website.
