FAIRFAX, Va. (WUSA9) -- Fairfax County Police confirm the department is investigating an assault against a 12-year-old boy that may have involved a balloon full of urine.
Police say they responded to a home in the 12000 block of Monument Drive in Fairfax at 6:30 p.m. Saturday for the report of a simple assault.
According to police, a man reported that his 12-year-old boy was struck with a balloon containing what he suspected was human urine.
Police say the boy had set up a lemonade stand for apartment residents for most of the day. At some point, a person dressed in a "Halloween type" costume emerged from one of the buildings and allegedly threw a balloon at the boy, say police.
Police tell us that the suspect yelled at the boy and fled. The boy was not injured, say police.
Police continue to investigate the incident.
