ASPEN HILL, Md. (WUSA9) -- Montgomery County Police have identified the three people killed in a crash on Sunday night at Georgia Avenue and Kayson Street.
According to police, a maroon 2000 Nissan Sentra was making a left turn from eastbound Kayson Street on to northbound Georgia Avenue when it was struck by a blue 2008 Volkswagon Passat and an orange 2011 Chevrolet Camaro. Both vehicles were headed southbound on Georgia Avenue, say police.
All four occupants of the Nissan were ejected and two of them were pronounced dead on the scene, say police. Police report that the driver of the Nissan, 39-year-old Salvador Lemus Ramos of Wheaton, succumbed to his injuries at the hospital later in the evening. Another occupant was also transported to a hospital in serious condition, according to police.
Police have identified the two deceased passengers as 50-year-old Felipe Pineda of Wheaton and four-year-old Elizabeth Lemus. The seriously injured passenger is 31-year-old Elba Pineda, say police.
Additionally, the driver of the Volkswagon Passat was Shaka Wakefield of Wheaton and the driver of the Chevrolet Camaro was Audias Sanchez of Wheaton, say police.
