(WUSA9) -- A strong storm surged through different parts of the South and East coast including Mississippi, Alabama, New York and several other areas on March 18.
Acccording to officials the massive amount of hail and the strong winds left 98,200 without power in Alabama Tuesday morning. Officials say that gusts of wind were so powerful they knocked down trees and power lines.
On top of power loss the storm caused plenty of destruction on the road as cars were flipped to their sides, drivers suffered head-on collisions and windshields were pummeled by the reported egg-sized hail that came down.
No deaths or injuries have been reported at the moment.
