GAINESVILLE, Va. (WUSA9) -- Photojournalist Greg Guise is out on Linton Hall Road in Gainesville, Va. He says there are slush covered roads and crews have been out working for the past hour and a half there.

Across the road from the Gateway Commons Center, Greg saw very little traffic. He says temperatures also appear to be falling and the precipitation is oscillating between rain and snow. Earlier on Wednesday morning, snow was falling at a steady rate.

Greg said as he moved west from the Capital Beltway to the area in Prince William County he noticed it was mostly rain until the Fairfax - Prince William line the precipitation turned mostly to snow. Plows were on I-66 where roads were slush covered as well.
