POOLESVILLE, Md. (WUSA) -- We head north to Poolesville, Md. for this week's cool schools.
Good morning to Poolesville High School design teams who are getting some national recognition for their inventions while making life easier for adults with disabilities.
As a part of a contest called the ability one engineering challenge, Poolesville High School students met one on one with the workers at Key Center, and were determined to make their day easier by one of their designs that featured roller blade wheels.
Their design increased productivity by 85 percent, which is good for business, and for all of the programs at the non-profit Key Center.
Students developed a real relationship with a client and got them results, not to mention they helped employees receive a bigger paycheck.
