UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (WUSA) -- A two-story home is a total loss after flames engulfed the home on Saturday, the Prince George's Fire Dept. spokesperson said.

Crews responded to the fire on the 15400 block of Mount Calvert Road at around 2:45 p.m. and found heavy fire consuming the home, preventing them to enter the structure.

Water tankers had to be brought in since the home is located in a rural area with out access to fire hydrants, the spokesperson said.

It took 45 firefighters and medics to contain the fire after nearly 90-minutes. No injures were reported.

The family of three adults and one teenager are staying with relatives in the area. The total loss is estimated to be $400,000 dollars, the spokesperson said.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
