UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (WUSA) -- Quindell Mercer, convicted of killing his mother and stepbrother, received the maximum sentence in a Prince George's County court.
Mercer was sentenced in Circuit Court on Friday and received 100 years in jail. He was convicted of two counts of second-degree murder and other charges for the August 2011 double-shooting.
Prosecutors say Mercer shot both victims and then positioned their bodies on a sofa. They say DNA evidence and an FBI handwriting evidence connected Mercer to the crime.
