WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- Suspects accused of brutally beating TC Maslin in August as he walked home on Capitol Hill from a Nationals game were arraigned on an indictment on Friday.
The District Attorney's Office says the prosecutor in the case is also looking into a superceding indictment to charge an additional suspect in the crime.
Seventeen-year-old Sunny Kuti, 21-year-old Tommy Branch and 18-year-old Michael Moore are accused of beating Maslin. Detectives say Branch and Moore admitted they participated. Branch allegedly hit Maslin with a baseball bat. Kuti allegedly hit him in the head with a "fake 'em out" BB gun.
Maslin laid in a park for hours with a severe brain injury, until he finally crawled across the street and someone found him. In October, we reported that Maslin had no feeling on the right side of his body, was unable to walk or feed himself. He was also unable to even remember his wife's name.
All parties in the case are expected back in court on Jan. 2 to discuss the scheduling of the case.
