Police Remove Firearms From Sharpsburg, Md.,Home

SHARPSBURG, Md. (WUSA)  -  Police have stopped trying to contat a man they believed to be at his Washington County home when they arrived to serve a warrant in a firearms investigation, according to Maryland State Police.

Police removed an undisclosed number of  firearms from the home in the 4400-block of Mills Road.

No contact was made with the man throughout the day and troopers saw no evidence that he was in the home while they were there.

The scene was cleared after 7:30 p.m. Thursday, but firearms investigators will continue the investigation.
