GERMANTOWN, Md. (WUSA) -- Montgomery County Executive Ike Leggett will join family and friends of Christina Morris-Ward on Monday night for a vigil in her honor.
Fifteen-year-old Morris-Ward was struck by a car on Halloween on her way to Seneca Valley High School. The driver of the car stayed at the scene. Morris-Ward was taken to the hospital and later died.
A friend of her family planned the vigil for Monday at 5:30 p.m. at Seneca Valley High School. The students and principal of the high school as well as other community officials will attend the vigil.
