CULPEPER, Va. (WUSA) - Culpeper police have charged one teenager and are seeking a second in a noon burglary Thursday after an alert citizen called in the crime in progress.

Police charged Vincent Petros Crosland, 19, of the 800 block of Virginia Avenue with felony breaking and entering, grand larceny and conspiracy to commit a felony.

Police are seeking Darsel Justin London, 18, of the 1800 block of Broad Street. He faces the same charges as Crosland.

Shortly before noon, a caller saw two teens entering through a window of an unoccupied house in the 500 block of West Scanlon Street.

Police and Culpeper County Sheriff's deputies responded to the house and the surrounding area.

Police found Croland inside the home, and canine units from the Fauquier County Sheriff's Office and the Culpeper sheriff's office assisted Culpeper police and sheriff's deputies in tracking the second man who was reportedly seen on Virginia Avenue, Fox Den Road, at the Culpeper Country Club and in adjoining areas.

A helicopter from Virginia Airborne Search and Rescue in Manassas also assisted in the search.

Authorities were unable to locate London.

"We cannot thank the citizen who noticed the break-in in progress and called police enough for being proactive," said Culpeper Police Chief Chris Jenkins. "The assistance from the sheriff's office proved invaluable and was greatly appreciated."
