In the September 27th robbery, a man with a blue bandana covering his face entered the 7-Eleven at 16806 Jefferson Davis Highway in Dumfries. He went  up to the counter with a shotgun and demanded money. The man took cash and fled, possibly in a dark colored vehicle. Police say that he was described as black, between 25 and 30 years old, 6'3" tall and 180 pounds, with a slim build. He was wearing a dark colored jacket, dark colored pants, and black shoes.

On October 4, a man with a similar description robbed the 7-Eleven at 1701 Featherstone Road in Woodbridge. He went up to the counter with a handgun and demanded money. The man took the money and fled on foot. He was wearing a black mask at the time and a white shirt with a black long sleeved shirt underneath with black track pants with a white stripe on the side. He was believed to be a black male about 20 to 25 years old and 6 feet tall. He had a thin build and was approximately 160 pounds.

On October 10, the same man may have robbed two stores.

The second person was described as a black male between 18 and 25 years old and about 5'11" tall. He was approximately  160 pounds. He wore a black hooded sweatshirt, dark jeans and white shoes. The robber was about the same age, height and weight and was wearing a black zip-up hooded sweatshirt, black pants, black scarf, black and white shoes and striped gloves.

At 11:44 p.m. police say a man entered the 7-Eleven at 14820 Cloverdale Road in Woodbridge and displayed a handgun before demanding money. But in this case, the worker there was unable to open the cash register and the man fled from the store. He then met up with another man in the parking lot. The attempted robbery was described as a black male between 22 and 27 years old and approximately 5'11" with a thin build. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, white shirt, dark jeans and a black mask. The second male was only described as a black male between 18 and 25 years old with a thin build.
