Michael Pollard Charged With Robbery, Assault And Battery, And Grand Larceny In Manassas, Va.

MANASSAS, Va. (WUSA) -- This weekend, a man flagged down Manassas City Police Officers in the 9300 block of Taney Road to tell them he had been thrown to the ground and robbed. Wednesday, police say they have arrested two males in the incident.

Police say the victim reported that he was sitting on a park bench between Aspen Place and Byrd Drive at approximately 9:30 p.m. on Saturday when three males approached him, threw him to the ground, and robbed him of his wallet. 

The victim could identify two of the males, say police, and officers later recovered the wallet on Buckner Road. The wallet contained money and documents when it was stolen, according to police.

Twenty-one-year-old Michael Pollard and a juvenile were charged with Robbery, Assault and Battery and Grand Larceny. Pollard is being held without bond at the Prince William Adult Detention Center. He has a court appearance scheduled for November 5. T juvenile was held at the Prince William Juvenile Detention Center.
