UPPER MARLBORO, Md. (WUSA) -- A man was arrested in Capitol Heights on Monday for allegedly carjacking a man at gunpoint back in August.
Calvin Pettaway was arrested on a warrant for armed carjacking, say Prince George's County Sheriff's office authorities for the incident that occurred on August 9. Pettaway is accused of taking out a gun and demanding a man give him his car in the 1000 block of 59th Avenue in Seat Pleasant. Authorities say Pettaway then fled in the vehicle.
Pettaway is charged with armed carjacking, carjacking, first and second degree assault, use a firearm in the commission of a felony, theft, motor vehicle theft, and illegal possession of a handgun.
