WASHINGTON, D.C. (WUSA) -- Frosty Wooldridge is a 65-year-old, self-proclaimed explorer and adventurer he is also, a former teacher. This weekend, however, he's just a man on a bicycle with one less thing on his bucket list.
Wooldridge, has trekked more than 3400 miles on his bike and completed his 8th cross country cycling trip. He started in Newport Beach, Oregon two and half months ago. He chose to ride into Washington, because according to him, "It's the soul of the nation."
Wooldridge has traveled more than 125,000 miles since he began riding some 40 years ago. He has cycled through 6 continents including Antarctica.
He said, "I get to explore this extraordinary globe, and for me you only get 70-80 years and once it's over, it's over."
He is spreading motivation everywhere he goes and now he is in Washington encouraging others to do just like he has: explore and travel.
