SANTA MONICA, Calif. (AP) - Police say they are investigating a car crash involving actress Lindsay Lohan on coastal highway near Los Angeles.

Reportedly Lohan's vehicle struck an 18-wheeler truck, according to the Associated Press.

TMZ reports that Lohan and her assistant, who was traveling in the car with her, were bruised and bloodied. People quotes authorities saying the actress's injuries are not severe.

Cobarrubias says no one else was injured in the crash and that police would not immediately release any other details.

Calls to Lohan's spokesman Steve Honig and her attorney Shawn Holley were not immediately returned.
