WASHINGTON,D.C. (WUSA) - Chuck Brown, the 75-year-old father of D.C. Go-go music, is being treated in the intensive care unit of Johns Hopkins hospital in Baltimore, according to sources.
Brown has been missing from the stage for about two months, prompting rumors on the Internet that he has died.
9News Now has confirmed that Brown is at Hopkins where he was admitted after complaining of arthritis. Doctors discovered blood clots in his legs. The blood clots were removed, but Brown also contracted pneumonia while hospitalized.
There has been no official word from his manager Tom Goldfogle.
Meanwhile, local radio stations are also asking listeners to keep the father of Go-go in their prayers.
