WASHINGTON, D.C. (WUSA)-- A small group of Howard University's NAACP chapter gathered to watch the announcement of Zimmerman's arrest.

Lauren Banks, who organized a recent march in support of Trayvon Martin said the arrest may do little to calm the furor surrounding the case.

Banks said, "I don't know that the tension will die down. At least it's my hope that it doesn't die down, because this is just the beginning and he's just been charged.

Others weren't as quick to react to the news. Gun owners at the Blue Ridge Arsenal shooting range in Chantilly were a lot more reserved.

Like George Zimmerman the folks at the range own firearms. However, they say there isn't enough public information to a pick side in this debate.

Eddy Esworthy said, "It's kind of hard to rush to judgement. I think it's a mistake for people to rush to judgement with this case."
