WASHINGTON, D.C. (WUSA)-- A committee of House Democrats held a forum on Tuesday afternoon to discuss the case surrounding the shooting death of Florida teenager Trayvon Martin. Present at the hearing where his parents Tracy Martin, and Sybrina Fulton.

When asked if he had a message for his son's killer, George Zimmerman, Martin said, " Why did he kill my son"?

George Zimmerman remains under investigation, but has yet to be charged or arrested for killing Trayvon Martin. Zimmerman claimed self defense, and under Florida law authorities can't arrest him because they say the evidence so far backs Zimmerman's claim.

Three major points were discussed in Tuesday's hearing. Accusations of racial profiling, opposition to Florida's "Stand Your Ground" law, and allegations that the Sanford Police Department conducted a prejudicial investigation following the shooting primarily based on race.

Sybrina Fulton, Trayvon's mother said , "Of course my heart is broken, but it breaks even more to know that we have not gotten justice yet, and this man has not been arrested for shooting and killing my son."
