ALEXANDRIA, Va. (WUSA) - Ann Jenene Cinnamon, also known as Ann Jenene Greer, pleaded guilty Wednesday to hiring a hitman to kill her boyfriend's mistress.
The 41-year-old woman pleaded guilty to murder for hire. Cinnamon could get the maximum penalty of 10 years in prison.
Cinnamon's sentencing is scheduled for May 4.
According to court records, Cinnamon contacted a man seeking help hiring someone to murder someone she described as her boyfriend's "mistress" in August 2011. From that point through October 2011, Cinnamon took steps such as offering to pay $500 to the hit man, paying $100 as a down payment and planning her alibi.
Court records show the man she contacted notified the FBI, and his interaction with Cinnamon was then monitored by law enforcement.
The FBI arrested Cinnamon on Oct. 20, 2011, after she met with a man in a Great Falls shopping center and discussed the murder plot and the plan for payment.
