District of Columbia:

DC Public Schools -- all open with the exception of School Without Walls; Without Walls will be CLOSED

The William E Doar, Jr. Public Charter School for the Performing Arts will be closed Thursday and students will report to the William E Doar, Jr. Edgewood campus located at 705 Edgewood Street, NE.

All DC facilities have been evaluated including libraries, government buildings and rec centers - OPEN

Main FAA buildings on Independence Ave SW in downtown DC will be open


Spotsylvania County Public Schools -- first day of school delayed until Thursday. 

Fairfax Co. Public Schools-- open for classes September 6th; Bull Run Elementary School was closed Wednesday due to earthquake damage

Falls Church City Public Schools -- OPEN except for George Mason High School and Mary Ellen Henderson Middle School

Germanna Community College -- closed through August 28th


Prince George's County Schools -The following 32 schools will be closed Thursday:
