BLACKSBURG, Va. (AP) -- Virginia Tech is going to award a posthumous degree to slain student Morgan Harrington this weekend.

WSLS-TV reports Virginia Tech's Department of Religion and Culture will award the degree to Harrington's parents during spring commencement ceremonies.

Harrington disappeared in October 2009 after leaving a concert at the University of Virginia in Charlottesville. The 20-year-old Roanoke woman's remains were found in January 2010 in a hayfield in Albemarle County. No arrests have been made.
