Man Stabbed On Towpath Near Key Bridge

WASHINGTON, DC (WUSA)--U.S. Park Police say at approximately 4:20 a.m. Friday, a man was attacked and stabbed on the towpath near Key Bridge in Georgetown.

Police say the the attacker was a homeless man who asked the victim for money and then punched and stabbed him with a sharp object, maybe a screwdriver. The man was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries. 

Park Police say they are looking for a white man in his 60s, with a gray beard, who may hang out at a homeless encampment near Fletcher's Boat House.
