Asian American Chamber Of Commerce Hosts Annual Gala

WASHINGTON, DC (WUSA)-- Angie Goff reports on an evening that spotlights Asian Americans making a difference in their community.

The Asian American Chamber of Commerce had a full house at it's annual gala. Master Jhoon Rhee also known as the Father of American Taekwondo was honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award. Rhee is credited for introducing this martial art to the US in the 1950's.

Local non-profits like Devotion to Children also received awards. The black tie affair was held at the Waterford at Fair Oaks in Fairfax.
