NPR Building Damaged After High Winds Blow Over Pole

WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- High winds damaged a banner pole outside of the NPR building Monday morning, emergency officials said.

The pole came loose and damaged three glass panes and one office window pane.

All the window in the building are double-paned, only the outer panes were damaged.

The fire department responded to the building, secured the damaged windows and cleaned up the glass that had fallen.

Emerson Brown for NPR said there were no injuries and everything was cleaned up by 11 a.m.
