WASHINGTON (WUSA) -- A man who was arrested after firearms and ammunition were found in his trailer parked on the National Mall in November has pleaded guilty.

James Patock, formerly of Murana, Arizona, pleaded guilty Monday in D.C. Superior Court to charges of of attempted carrying a pistol without a license and possession of an unregistered firearm.

The charges stem from an incident on November 3 in which firearms and ammunition were found by U.S. Park Police police in his trailer in front of the Air and Space Museum. Streets were closed while authorities inspected the trailer for explosives after an officer saw something suspicious in the trailer.

No explosives were found but police said they found firearms, including a revolver and two rifles, and ammunition.

Police say Patock also did not have a license to carry the pistol in D.C.

Thursday, the judge scheduled sentencing for Patock on January 14, 2011.
