Jason Zirinsky, Charged with first degree murder and child abuse
BRUNSWICK, Md. (WUSA) -- A father was charged with first degree murder and child abuse today after an infant was found dead inside a Brunswick home over the weekend.
Captain Tim Clark with the Frederick County Sheriff's Department says a household member at 415 West Potomac Street called 911 Sunday morning claiming a child at the home was unresponsive. Members of the Brunswick City Police Department arrived on scene around 7:00 A.M. and found a deceased 2 month old girl inside the home.
The child has been identified as Lexi Regina Zirinsky. An autopsy was performed Monday and The State Medical Examiner's Office has classified the manner of death as Homicide and the Cause of Death as Multiple Traumatic Injuries.
The Brunswick Police Department arrested Jason August Zirinsky 25, of Brunswick, will be charging him with First-Degree Murder and Child Abuse.
While at Central Booking, Zirinsky complained of chest pains and was taken to Frederick Memorial Hospital. He was treated and is is currently in custody.
Frederick County Sheriffs officials say Zirinsky has previous charges against him in New Jersey.
