ASPEN HILL, Md. (WUSA) -- Why shop tomorrow when you can shop on Thanksgiving Day?

People may be anticipating Black Friday but many shoppers couldn't wait.

9News Now found a lot of shoppers at stores that decided to open on the holiday including, Kmart, Wal-Mart, Michaels and Old Navy.

And shoppers found plenty of deals to be had on Black Friday-eve.

One Kmart shopper says, "We found a radio-controlled truck for 10 dollars. You can't beat that."

Steve Quill is snagging a $499 Panasonic 46" 780p Plasma TV.

Kmart's door buster tomorrow is a 40" LCD 1080p for $549.

Quill says it's for granddad, "It's usually crazy on Black Friday and you don't want to come. Hopefully we'll pick up some deals today."

But if shoppers were hoping to avoid the crowds, think again.

Thomas Spruell will be venturing out on Black Friday but is getting a jump start Thursday.  He says, "It's actually very crowded. Hard to find parking."

Ann Marie says, "I thought it would be less crowded.  I was wrong. I never would have thought it would be this many people."

Door buster prices on the day Diana Joseph avoided cooking Thanksgiving dinner. She went shopping at Kmart.

Joseph says, "While we have family cooking we're shopping. It's good to get away from cooking."

Although these stores offer more deals on Friday, they say you can find deep discounts on hot ticket items on electronics, toys and clothing on Thanksgiving.
