HAGERSTOWN, Md. (AP) -- Corrections officials say an inmate stabbed at a prison near Hagerstown is in stable condition.
The inmate was stabbed Sunday afternoon at the Maryland Correctional Training Center. The inmate was being treated at Washington County Hospital for stab wounds to the upper body.
A prisons spokeswoman says the incident occurred in a housing unit and that it was an isolated incident between two inmates.
The prison was not put on lockdown.
