WOODBRIDGE, Va. (WUSA) -- A family in Woodbridge was rudely awakened by a car crashing into their home early Thursday morning.

Mike Clark, Assistant Chief for the Occoquan Woodbridge Lorton Volunteer Fire Department, says a man driving a Toyota Camry in the 15000 block of Alabama Avenue failed to negotiate a bend in the road and drove straight into the rec room of a two-story home with three adults and four children inside. Clark says no one was injured inside the home.

According to Clark, the driver of the Camry suffered only minor injuries and refused treatment at the scene.

A building inspector has condemned the home and the Red Cross responded to the scene to provide temporary lodging for the displaced residents.

Prince William County Police are investigating the incident.
