WASHINGTON, DC (WUSA)--A new poll is showing D.C. Council Chairman and Mayoral candidate Vincent Gray with a small lead ahead of incumbent Adrian Fenty.
The newly released Clarus Poll shows Gray leading Fenty among likely democratic voters by seven points, 45 to 38 percent.
Even though the margin may be small -- the results point to a huge racial divide among supporters. Fenty leads Gray 68 to 22 percent among white voters. Among black voters, Gray leads Fenty 62 to 17 percent.
Gray is warning his supporters against becoming complacent. The front runner, along with his son and daughter, sat down with 9NEWS NOW reporter, Bruce Johnson, for an exclusive interview.
