Many came out to support Becky's Fund and raise domestic violence awareness at Nationals Park
WASHINGTON, DC (WUSA)-- Oh My GOFF! Angie Goff has the local buzz including Becky's Fund at Nationals Park. the Reston Festival and a shout out to troops from the Daytime Emmys.
Becky's Fund: Becky's Fund hosted Domestic Violence Awareness Day at Nationals Park and everyone from the girl scouts to military veterans showed up. The sold out crowd had a chance to win autographed items, tshirts and even got the chance to take a swing with the Nats at batting practice. Founder Becky Lee says people are always asking how they can get involved in the fight to end domestic violence. She suggests sharing your story or volunteering with an organization that provides outreach, life skills and resources for battered women.

Reston Festival: There were some high hopes at the Reston Festival. A man on stiltz armed with a watergun was king of keeping people cool at Reston Town Center. At the annual festival, musical act 'King Teddy' headlined and tons of tents of food, games and goods were on hand. Vendor Jim Youngblood says the non-100 degree temps were a plus bringing more people out. This year Reston celebrates it's 46th birthday.
